Our Story:
From Cracker Night to Festival & Light Show
The Redbanks Fireworks Festival & Light Show started as a small Cracker Night gathering in 2022, celebrating a beloved nostalgic Tasmanian tradition. Year after year, it expanded beyond fireworks to become an immersive showcase of music, feast, fire, and performance. Now, we envision the Redbanks Fireworks Festival to become one of Southern Tasmania’s most unique and vibrant celebrations, drawing together local artists, musicians, roving performers, and the best of the region’s food and drink in one unforgettable night.
Celebrating the end of the Autumn season, this event is about more than just fireworks, it’s about showcasing the talent, creativity, and rich flavours of South-Eastern Tasmania. We aim to provide a platform for local musicians, circus artists, performers, and food vendors to shine, creating a space where the region’s best can be experienced and celebrated. In an otherwise quiet time of year, the Redbanks Fireworks & Light Show injects life and energy into the local community, supporting local businesses while delivering an experience that keeps people coming back.
This event is carefully curated to be an immersive experience, combining a striking blend of fire, light, and performance. From the fireworks finale to fire displays, laser beam shows, and roving entertainers, every element is designed to create a dynamic atmosphere. A range of interactive workshops, including circus skills and face painting, ensure there’s something for all ages to engage with throughout the night.
